Introduction to Makeup Artistry

The introductory makeup artistry course offered at Oneida Holistic Health Center is a special course that targets those who are aiming at becoming professional makeup artists. This course takes care of thorough individual education based on each student from those without any previous experience to those who are already working in the beauty industry. In the beginning, students learn step-by-step details to create a flawless makeup application on their own face, starting with how to properly prepare the skin. During part two, students will learn professional techniques to create the most popular looks in beauty including; bridal, day to evening makeup and the illustrious smoky eye.

$275 non-refundable deposit due upon enrollment. Balance to be paid in full by beginning of class. If you need to complete the class at a different date due to extenuating circumstances, your deposit will be transferred to the new makeup class.
We offer Advance Skin Care Classes for estheticians. Classes are taught by SkinCare Therapist Jo Ann Benoit. Private classes are available upon request If you would like to attend but need an alternative date, please contact the instructor directly.

Class Description:
If you can say, with confidence, you definitely know the difference between a skin type and a skin condition; you are probably ready for the next step! Beyond just knowing your role in skin care it is necessary to know where your role ends and a physician’s begins. It is also necessary to be able to go beyond the basics and be able to do a deep analysis that combines many schools of thought. This class will teach you:
- What exactly is a ‘deep’ analysis of the skin
- Eastern and Western Analysis, why it is important to know both
- How diet, nutrition, exercise, stress and even bowel movements affect the skin, and
- How to recognize the effects of lifestyle on the skin
- Does a person’s personality play a role in how their skin reacts
- What would be the ‘proper’ verbiage to use when informing a client about a suspicious lesion
- How to recognize a suspicious lesion
- Cultivating the art of asking the right questions, listening and using logic to analyze skin

The airbrush artistry two day workshop is a complete introductory course to applying airbrush makeup and mastering the use of the tools as well as troubleshooting. This class will teach you the fundamentals of airbrush makeup, application technique and the elite Dinair product line. About The Instructor: Jo Ann Benoit has been a Skin Care Therapist for over 25 years.Since 1984, she has been involved in nearly every aspect of the aesthetic and Medical Spa Industry. Jo Ann’s experience ranges from training other skin care professionals to, as a Medical Spa consultant, assisting physicians in establishing aesthetic departments within their practices. Her skin care services encompasses progressive techniques of rejuvenating skin and skin care therapies, including ultrasound, microcurrent, microdermabrassion, and light therapies which she envisions is the future of skin care treatments.
